Career Café

The Community Development Career Café is held every other year, with the next one in October 2018. The purpose is for students to meet professionals from sectors in which they have potential career interests. Students have the opportunity to hear from the guests, ask questions and provide resumes.

Students have the opportunity to choose which professionals they would like to spend some time with In 20 minute time blocks, 2-3 students meeting with a specific professional. In an hour each student has the opportunity to share in three intimate conversations with professionals in fields of interest. The professionals often bring hand out materials to share with students.  Students are encouraged to build their personal capacity through preparing brief resumes and business cards that they can offer to the professionals.
