- I was born in the USA, grew up in Ottawa, worked and studied all across Canada, and lived in Tasmania, Australia for close to 20 years.
- I started the Outdoor Education Program at the University of Tasmania.
- I have worked for the Canadian Outward Bound Wilderness School and the National Outdoor Leadership School.
- I received the Australian Teacher Educator of the Year Award in 2018.
- I love cycling, white water paddling, sea kayaking and cross country skiing.
