What I learned:
The Bachelor of Recreation Management degree is such a well rounded undergraduate degree program. It provided me with a base knowledge of communications/marketing, finance/programming, and most importantly for me, community development and active living. In addition, I learned a great deal about professionalism in the field and continual learning. Not only did I have some fantastic profs, but at Acadia I learned both inside and outside of the classroom, as I was supported by profs, and fellow students, creating an ideal environment to learn by hands on initiatives.
My Acadia Highlight
Having aN A.R.M.S. (Acadia Recreation Management Society) cookbook launch and potluck at the local curling rink. Great people, great food, and a wonderful community!
