What I learned:
The Bachelor of Recreation Management degree is such a well rounded undergraduate degree program. It provided me with a base knowledge of communications/marketing, finance/programming, and most importantly for me, community development and active living. In addition, I learned a great deal about professionalism in the field and continual learning. Not only did I have some fantastic profs, but at Acadia I learned both inside and outside of the classroom, as I was supported by profs, and fellow students, creating an ideal environment to learn by hands on initiatives.
My Acadia Highlight
Having a A.R.M.S. (Acadia Recreation Management Society) cookbook launch and potluck at the local curling rink. Great people, great food, and a wonderful community!
